Call for Abstracts

Abstract submissions closed on February 10, 2007, and no further submissions for scientific session are being accepted.

All authors will be informed if their submitted abstract has been accepted by March 20, 2007.

An individual author is allowed only one oral presentation.

Authors with accepted abstracts MUST register prior to the early registration deadline on April 15th in order for their abstracts to remain in the Scientific Programme.

Please find below useful information for authors:

NEW! There are 4 prizes awarded during the Annual Meeting

  • 2 for the "Best Student Papers"
  • 2 for the "Best Posters"

Requirements for applying to these prizes are:
"Best Posters"

Applicants must be the Presenting author of the poster and as per the Abstracts submission guidelines MUST have paid his registration always BEFORE April 15th.

  • All Poster Presenting Authors are considered applicants for the "Best Poster" Prize.

"Best Student Presentation"

  • Applicants must be the Presenting author of the abstract (oral or poster) and as per the Abstracts submission guidelines MUST have paid his registration fee always BEFORE April 15th.
  • Subsequently, as per the web registration entitlement, participants processing a Reduced Registration fee MUST have provided as Student Certification, a letter written on official letterhead and signed by a department head or mentor.
  • A note stating that you wish to apply for one of the posters will be required also.
  • Applicants must be under 30 years old. As a proof, a copy of an "under 30" credential (ID, or passport) must be sent to he Meeting Secretariat (congress/@/aopc.es or Fax +34 93 301 12 55) always BEFORE April 15th.

Important notice: No reminders in the above issue will be made. Only authors following the instructions above described thoroughly will be eligible for the above Prizes.

One applicant for the "Best Student Papers" may apply also for the "Best Posters" and vice versa given that the author can provide all the required credentials. However, the 4 posters will be awarded to 4 different individuals, which means that each author may be awarded with one prize only.
