The rental cost for a minimum exhibition stand of 6 square meters (3m x 2m) is:
- Exhibition space (6 sqm) including shell-modular stand:
Euros 3.500 plus VAT
Including: - Fair carpet
- Walls covered with melamine
- Aluminum 3 x 3 cm support frames
- 4 spot lights of 100w
- 1 electrical switchboard for the above lighting with one 200w socket at 220V free of use
- Electrical consumption for the switchboard and the 200w socket included
- Front frieze with black standard characters exhibitor's name (useful height 21cm)
- Furniture: Round table (80 cm diameter, 76 cm high) and two plastic chairs
IMPORTANT Each Exhibiting company may nominate one person to register free of charge as a regular participant. The rest of the staff will have Exhibitor's badges with the company name only, which will allow access to the Exhibition area only. Any further participants must pay the full registration fee to attend the scientific sessions.

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
1. ADMISSION TO THE EXHIBITION
1.1. Companies are invited to display their products and present their activity, services and specific know-how at the Exhibition. Companies registering for the Exhibition undertake to participate and to show its products and services. These activities are restricted to the rented space. The Organization reserves the right to decide which companies shall be admitted to the Exhibition. 2. RENTING STAND SPACE 2.1. The Organization rents stand space in accordance with the compatibility of the items to be exhibited with the subject matter of the Exhibition.
2.2. Please complete a Stand Application Form, which is available from the congress secretariat (congress@aopc.es), and send it to the Congress Secretariat, AOPC, before March 16, 2007.
2.3. Upon receipt of the Stand Application Form the Exhibiting company will receive the corresponding invoice. The Exhibitor's Technical Manual, which will include the technical guidelines, will be mailed on March 16, 2007. 3. ASSIGNMENT OF SPACE 3.1. Spaces will be assigned by the Organization on a "first-come, first-served" basis under the following considerations:
a ) Order of receipt of the application forms and payment. b ) Size of the space requested.
3.2. Assignment will be cancelled automatically if the rental cost has not been paid within the given time period, and the stand will not be available for the company. If this were the case, any possible amount already paid will not be refunded. 4. STAND DESIGN 4.1. Exhibits must be displayed for the entire duration of the Exhibition. The Organisation is entitled to have exhibits removed from the stand if their display runs counter to the principles of fair competition or does not comply with the display programme.
4.2. Details of prices given in the form of signboards or stand lettering and references to sales of products already effected or details of suppliers and customers are not permitted.
4.3. The Exhibitor undertakes to leave the stand in the same condition it was when he moved into the stand. Any damage caused to the stand or to the building will be at the cost of the Exhibitor. 5. SET-UP, OPENING HOURS AND DISMANTLING 5.1. Delivery of goods and stand's decoration material must be sent not before Friday June 15.
Decoration period: - Custom built booths on June June 16 from 18.00 to 20.00 hours and on June 17 until 18.00 hours.
- Shell squeme booths on June 17 from 14.00 to 18.00 hours.
Cleaning: June 17 from 18.00 to 19.30 h.
Opening hours: June 18 from 09.00 to 18.00 h. June 19 from 09.00 to 18.00 h. June 20 from 09.00 to 14.00 h.
Dismantling period: June 20 from 14.00 to 20.00 h. 6. CHANGES 6.1. The Organization reserves the right to deviate from the stand confirmation and to allocate a stand in a different location, to alter the size of the stand, to relocate or close entrances and exits in the Palau de Congressos and to carry out any other structural alterations wherever needed due to special circumstances.
6.2. Alterations to the agreement will only be made after mutual consultation. If in such cases the interests of the Exhibitor are unreasonably impaired, he may withdraw from the contract in writing within one week after receipt of notification of his type of alteration.
6.3. Given serious cause (e.g. industrial action, acts of god, etc.) the Organization is entitled to postpone, to curtail the duration, to close the Exhibition completely or in part for any period or to cancel it.
6.4. In the event of complete or partial postponement or curtailment, the contract is regarded as valid for a possible new date and duration unless the Exhibitor protests in writing within a period of 2 weeks after notification of the alteration.
6.5. In case of war, strike, lock-out, regulations of the authorities or other circumstances beyond control of the Organizer, that might render it impossible or difficult to carry through an arrangement, the Organizer shall be entitled to remove, in whole or in part, the arrangement to other premises, to postpone the accomplishment of the arrangement, and the Organizer shall not be liable to pay compensation to the Exhibitor or be bound to reimburse the stand rental paid. 7. SUBTENANTS AND OTHER REPRESENTED COMPANIES 7.1. Sharing the stand area with another company, regardless of whether this company is represented by its own exhibits and its own staff (subtenant) or only by its own exhibits (represented company) is not allowed. Transfer -even in part- of the rights and obligations arising from the rental contract to third parties is not permitted. 8. TERMS OF PAYMENT 8.1. Each company will receive the corresponding invoice, which must be paid within 30 days from the date of invoice. Payments should be made by bank cheque in Euros ( € ) payable through a Spanish bank and made out to AOPC.
8.2. The Exhibitor renounces the right to offset counterclaims against rent payable in time unless the counterclaims are undisputed or have been confirmed by a court of law.
8.3. If the Exhibitor fails to meet his financial obligations for additional expenses and other claims arising from the contract, the Organization is entitled to retain exhibits and the stand equipment and to sell them by public auction or by private contract at the expense of the Exhibitor. The statutory provisions on realization of objects seized are thus settled. 9. CANCELLATIONS 9.1. By the Organization: Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Organization may modify or cancel the celebration of the Exhibition. In this case, Exhibitors will be reimbursed the amounts paid, after deduction of any expenses incurred. No other claims will be admitted.
9.2. By the Exhibitor: If the Exhibiting Company cancels its participation in the Exhibition, it must notify this cancellation to the Congress Secretariat, AOPC, in writing. Refunds for cancellations: - Before March 16, 2007: Refund of 75% of the rental cost.
- After March 16, 2007: No refund.
10. EXEMPTION FROM LIABILITY 10.1. The Organization does not undertake to safeguard exhibits and excludes, for its staff as well, all liability for loss or damage to these, except in cases of intent or gross negligence. This exemption from liability also applies if exhibits are seized and stored by the Organization due to infringement to the present conditions of participation. This exemption of liability is in no way impaired by special security measures taken by the Organization. Furthermore, the Organization explicitly excludes all liability for any disadvantages or damage incurred to Exhibitors due to erroneous details on stand construction, catalogue entries or other errors in ancillary services. 11. REGULATIONS 11.1. The Exhibition is governed by these regulations and by the instructions issued by the Organization. The Exhibitor undertakes to abide by the clauses of the regulations and observe the directives issued by the Organization. The decisions of the Organization may not be appealed. In unforeseen cases, the interpretation of these regulations will be the exclusive attribution of the Organization. 12. CLAIMS PROCEDURES, PLACE OF PERFORMANCE AND JURISDICTION 12.1. Exclusively the Spanish Law governs the contract; the English text is authoritative.
12.2. Place of performance and jurisdiction is Barcelona. The Organization reserves the right, however, to bring its claims before the courts competent for the area where the Exhibitor has its registered office. 13. FINAL CLAUSE 13.1. Written agreement of the stand allocation constitutes the rental contract between the Exhibitor and the Organization. The contract is based on the terms and conditions set out in this document. By this agreement, the Exhibitor is bound to comply with the technical rules stated in the Exhibitor's Technical Manual and other rules indicated by the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya.
