The Secretariat is based at the Institute of Health Economics in Edmonton, Alberta. 

The role of the Secretariat is to provide professional strategic and administrative support to the Board of Directors and its sub-Committees, to administer HTAi programs and member services, and to execute all functions necessary for the society's operations.
