The Interest Sub-Group (ISG) on Disinvestment aims to be a key international centre for sharing knowledge and expertise, both in methods for prioritising and assessing obsolete or low-added value technologies and in the practical application of disinvestment for health systems.
Members of this group are staff members of HTA organizations, government departments and agencies, for profit and not for profit firms, consultants and experts, and all those who use, provide, or otherwise are interested in disinvestment and reinvestment issues concerning obsolete or low-added value health technologies.
The Disinvestment group (DISG) started proposing panels and workshops at the HTAi meeting in Montreal 2008 and was formally established in 2010 as an Interest Sub-Group of HTAi. The DISG has around 50 members working in a wide variety of capacities to support informed decision on disinvestment and promote initiatives or programs in their agencies, organizations and countries.
