Classification of Countries by the World Bank 2010 -2011

This grouping of countries is based on the World Bank's most recent classification of countries as low, middle or high per capita Gross National Income economies.

The World Bank defines 4 categories; low income economies, lower middle income economies, upper middle income economies, and high-income economies. HTAi now uses the two middle income categories for membership categories. The method used to calculate per capita GNI is also available on the World Bank web site.
